One of the most fascinating things about FNQ is the locals.
The Salt-water crocodile calls this region home.
This yellow sign tells you that the area is crocodile habitat.
- DO NOT enter the water.
- DO NOT walk (or camp) near the waters edge.
Crocodiles are more active at night and during the breeding season from September to April.
MARINE STINGERS
Peak "stinger season" runs from November to May.
It is recommended to:
- Always swim betwen the flags
- Pay attention to signage
- Wear a lycra stinger suit
